How To Prepare Atama Soup, Step by Step Guide

Atama Soup














 Atama soup is a rich palmnut soup highly spiced and flavoured with aromatic atama leaves.


Ingredients For Atama Soup:
Meat
Fresh fish
Periwinkle
Stock fish
Crayfish                                                                                    
Uyayak
Atama leaves
Seasoning
Palm nut
Pepper fresh shrimps


Materials Needed
Water
Cooking pot
Mortar and Pestle (Optional if you are using finger to mash the palm nut)
Plate

Method of preparation
Step 1:
Boil the palm nut till its soft

Step 2:
Pound or mash with finger in a bowl of water to extract sauce

Step 3:
Boil the meat and stock fish in another pot with seasoning

Step 4:
Boil the extracted oil for 5 mins

Step 5:
Add the boiled meat and stock fish

Step 6:
Cook for 10 minutes

Step 7:
Add the shredded atama leaves and uyayak and cook for 5 minutes

Step 8:
Add the crayfish, fresh shrimps and seasoning

Step 9:
Add salt to taste

Step 10:
Add periwinkle, fresh fish and allow boiling for 30 minutes

Step 11:
Serve with any cereal meal
