Buns or Rock Buns





















What is Rock Buns?
Rock buns or buns is another popular snack that is similar to puff puff but the major difference as the name implies is that it is always hard like a rock (laughs) while puff puff is soft.


How to make Rock Buns
Rock buns or buns can be made with the following ingredients:
Ingredients for Buns
2oog of flour
25g of sugar
½ teaspoon yeast
Milk or water
1 teaspoon nutmeg
3 eggs
3 teaspoon baking powder
Vegetable oil for deep frying


Materials Needed for Buns
Frying pan
Wooden spoon
A bowl
Baking Pan

Method of preparation
Sieve the flour and baking powder together in a bowl.

Rub the margarine or butter into the flour with finger tips till it becomes like fine bread crumbs

Add sugar and nutmeg

Add egg and milk or water to the mixture till it become stiff enough to be able to maintain its shape in baking pan

Take from the dough mixture and use your finger to make a round shape

Do as many round shapes as possible for your buns

Place buns in greased pan in rough shapes to look like rock

Then bake in an oven or use vegetable oil to fry in deep frying pan for about 15 to 20 minutes.
