How To Make Zobo Drink, Step by Step Guide

Zobo Drink

Zobo drink is a veritable source of vitamin A. It is always recommended for hypertensive patients. 


Recent researchers have confirmed the drink to be a good cure for diarrhea and pneumonia.

Ingredients

1 bowl of dried zobo leaves

1tsp ginger

Sweeteners or sugar

Flavors

Garlic

Lime or lemon juice (optional)

Pineapple peels or juice

Materials Needed:

Water

Cooking pot

Big bowl

Method of Preparation

Step 1:

Wash dried zobo leaves properly in ordinary water to get rid of sand and particles

Step 2:

Put the zobo in a cooking pot

Step 3:

Add moderate amount of water and allow it to boil for about 25 minutes

Step 4:

Add the grounded ginger and garlic, the pineapple peels and the lemon rinds and allow it to boil for over 20 minutes

Step 5:

Remove from heat, allow it to cool and sieve into a big bowl to remove the residue.

Step 6:

Add sugar or honey when still hot and stir properly to taste

Step 7:

Add flavors e.g. strawberry, pineapple, apple, orange and any other flavor used in baking

Step 8:

Put in bottles and chill immediately to prevent fermentation

Step 9:

Serve chilled or add ice cubes

Note: If too thick, dilute with water before serving
